Old Voter List is a fuzzy-search tool over India's digitized 2002-era electoral rolls, built one state at a time.
It's meant as a lookup aid — mainly for SIR (Special Intensive Revision) verification work, where someone needs to find a specific name, relative name, and rough age band on an old roll and confirm a match by hand. It's built entirely on public, already-digitized government data — no CAPTCHA bypass, no private data sources — and it isn't affiliated with the Election Commission or any state CEO office. It's an independent project.
This project is built and maintained by AvaDhuri. AvaDhuri's longer-term work starts from a simple bet: as AI gets cheaper and more capable, correctness — not intelligence — becomes the scarce thing. We're building a language that lets AI systems work with data in ways that can be checked and audited, not just trusted. Karnataka is complete — all 224 constituencies. West Bengal and Haryana are partial for now (a Kolkata subset, and a demo spread of districts, respectively) — see the states & roadmap page for exact coverage. Other states are added on request, as resources permit.
